Open Queue has not been suported in competition as the official format of Overwatch for several years. In Overwatch 2, they made changes to balancing and health pools relative to Open Queue which even further separated the game mode from standard format. This and other game modes such as Competitive Deathmatch, Mystery Heroes, and Unranked can be fun alternate ways to play, but anyone serious about improving should be primarily dedicating their time and attention to Competitive Role Queue.
